That would stump me!
When FIL was being interviewed by a new doc the doc asked "Do you know where you are?"
FIL: "Penn State"
Doc: "How do you know that?"
FIL: "It's written on your shirt!"
Even the doc got a laugh out of that one.

There are plenty of girls involved in the FLL program. My older son's former team was over half girls - and they were the stronger programmers and mechanical builders.
My son and his friends formed the team when they were in 3rd grade. It was 4 boys all best-buddies since Kindergarten. We had a girl on this team the 2nd year because we expanded the team - she was half of a boy/girl twin pair. But her brother and her parents were, er...., challenging... and it was stressing me out. I would have LOVED to keep her - but not her brother or parents. Remember - this is a volunteer activity so I can decline to spend my time with folks who make MORE work for me.
Trust me, as a woman engineer, I want to push STEM programs to girls and women.

Hope you had half as much fun as I did at iFly. DH gave a session to DD, DS, and me last Christmas (he's not physically able to do it so he took pictures). It was so much fun I couldn't stop giggling for hours afterwards.

Walt - Glad it was caught early. Two of my BILs have a-fib and seem to do OK, although both relate that it's quite scary when it hits. Speedy recovery!

Spent the last 3 hours trying to fix the mess that my mortgage company and my home insurance company made.
Mortgage company never paid the home insurance renewal (claimed we didn't have an escrow acct, had to fax them documents showing we do and that they've taken money every month for it.)
Insurance company claims they faxed the renewal bill to the mortgage company 6 weeks ago.
Bottom line is that as of last Friday we have no insurance on our house. Thanks goodness I thought to check today to make sure mortgage company had paid it. When I learned they hadn't I had to have a new policy written and it won't go into effect until midnight tonight!
Now I'm fighting with the mortgage company trying to get back my payment they were supposed to have made!
What a mess.

Wow! sure is a tough deal. Maybe you can pay the insurance yourself next time and not use an escrow account.

Not yet, dagnabit. I guess they couldn't schedule the ultrasound that is needed. Understandable, but frustrating. The worst part is that I feel well enough to walk home and probably could.

They got that part right! For a while there I was wondering if my lifespan was going to be measured in minutes. But looking up stuff and reading about it the a-fib itself isn't that dangerous if treated promptly, and I can't imagine anyone ignoring those symptoms.
While the hospital food is actually pretty good considering the dietary restrictions they must operate within, they sometimes have a hard time cobbling together a gluten-free meal, which is not optional for me. Dinner was a turkey breast sandwich on gluten-free bread with lettuce and tomato. An hour later I was hungry.
So I asked "Is there any reason my wife (who I knew would be arriving in an hour or so anyway) can't bring a bowl of gluten-free beef stew from home? I know it's gluten-free because I made it." So she did, nuked it at the nurse's station microwave, and I had a great dinner. Gotta love that girl!

First, all my best to Walt for a speedy return to normal.
I spent the day fooling with cables behind my TV. I learned that my antenna cable does not like being near my HDMI cable one bit! after separating them, I have my OTA TV back.

Thanks, I'm hoping to have lunch at home tomorrow. Or at least dinner.

Walt..here's hoping you'll be having dinner at home tonight!
Seeing how today is Veteran's Day, I thought I would take advantage of some of the free deals that are out there.
I started by going to Starbuck's for a free coffee...then cruised over to Krispy Kreme for a free donut. Then, I went and had the car washed for free. I debated getting free haircut @ Great Clips, but I don't really need a haircut and I didn't want to "cheat" on my barber so I didn't get that one. After all that, lunch was in order so I had a free pizza at California Pizza Kitchen. After all that food, I took one of the dogs to the vet and then came on home. I did get a little nap in the middle of all that, so once the wife gets home, we will go have either Olive Garden or Chili's for dinner. Sure, there are lot's of "free" stuff to be had, but with the tips/drinks/gas, I've spent more money today than I have in a LONG TIME!!!

Four of us Viet Nam vets went to Denny's for breakfast, then to Hooters for lunch. Dinner maybe at Olive Garden as they have a freebe too.
So far, Hooters was the most fun....
