Woo-hoo! Carpetlayers are scheduled to arrive sometime in the next 72 hours. They'll call first. I think I have used the last energy that I have, to empty my closets completely and to try to fit everything I own into my tiny galley-style kitchen and bathroom (my only rooms without carpet to be replaced). I feel exhausted, battered, and bruised from all the physical work involved in moving all of my things. I think I still need to pin the curtains up since nothing is to be within 4 feet of the floor.

I decided to throw out all remaining clothing that was purchased for attending formal work meetings. It was just too hard to fit this clothing into my kitchen (at this point), and besides I will never wear it again.

It rained ALL day today. My fave Bostonian had a doctor visit.

So I called a guy friend who needed some cheering up . He has major GF problems. He broke up with her but she won't take the hint and leave him alone.

He's full blooded Italian American. So I picked up some fresh Italian bread, some fresh baby bella mushrooms, and 3 fresh tomatoes. He supplied the extra virgin olive oil and Parmesan cheese. I sauteed the mushrooms, and added a little Parm cheese to them. We munched out, Mediterranean style, and watched a movie.

He was very grateful for the visit. However, his cat has jumped ship and is definitely my best friend.

I just realized I have a lot of diaries and letters I need to dispose of . I would really not like them read later . Although it would give my daughter a few chuckles to know that her Mom "s life was not as sedate as she thought .

I found my late sister's diary from college. Expecting a lot of juicy stuff as she had many boyfriends, etc. Pretty sedate for her, actually..........

There goes bbbamI setting the bait.... Sorry I won´t bite. Just released from hospital after yesterday´s surgery. And I´ve been cautioned to lead a quiet and peaceful life for the next 6 weeks. To play along would mean a sure return to hospital. But if the bait is still there after 6 weeks.....

Is this an example of the oft-mentioned "useless" Post?

The life of a bandleader...

1. Restaurant owner suggests Oct 30 gig.
2. I call bass player's house #1 and leave message on machine.
3. I call bass player's house #2 and leave message with his wife.
4. I call drummer's house and leave message on machine.
5. Neither calls back, and BP's wife sometimes doesn't relay messages.
6. Bass player calls back next day, checks his handwritten calendar, gives OK.
7. Drummer calls back and says his computer is in the shop so he can't check his other band's calendar.
8. I check the other band's calendar, and there are no conflicts.
Drummer gives OK.
9. I call restaurant and confirm.
10. Two days later, restaurant owner calls and says Oct 30 is too close to Halloween, he wants to reschedule to Nov 5.
11. I call bass player's house #1 and leave message on machine.
12. I call bass player's house #2 and leave message with his wife.
