It is snowing here now. Prediction of 5 to 8 inches by toworrow. That would be the most snow we have had all season. There were many fires up and down the front range a couple of days ago. Lots of snow would be great!

Recovering from a 5’ fall off a step ladder. Landed on the garage floor on my left elbow that is now sore, swollen and scraped. Learned a valuable lesson - always tie your shoes before climbing a ladder.

Would be a lot worse if you were on your roof, blowing the leaves off the gutter as shown in a recent posted video.

Spent the morning helping my girlfriend clean up after a leaky HW tank. Had it been electric I could have replaced it for her to save a few $$, but it was a gas model so she had to call in a licensed plumber.

Went to water exercise class this morning then to the farm store to get some fertilizer and azomite for gardening, took the car through the car wash. Just before noon I put the finishing touches on a new multi-family housing unit in my back yard and 'tenants' are already moving in after only a couple hours - https://www.costco.com/Bambeco-Swiss...100407978.html

Going to finish setting up a new computer and printing out all the receipts and support info. Will take it to my DD and DSM tomorrow to replace their old computer. They wanted a refurb, but after discussing with my brother I got a new one from Costco with extra warranty and concierge service. My brother and I will subsidize half the cost as a Mother's/Father's day present. I think new was the best choice for them especially since I will be tech support and am 2+ hours away.

The day is nice so I'll work outside a bit this afternoon.

I do too, but I make sure my shoelaces are tied and I'm a lot more careful on the roof.

I can't imagine what it would feel like to fall off a 2 story roof on to concrete.

We having a catch up day at home today. A short hike, carry out dim sum and Season 2 of Dark Matter are the likely agenda for the rest of the night. We went to a comedy show in Napa last night. The show itself wasn't the best but it was a pretty drive through wine country to get there and we got to checkout the venue for future reference. We saw a comedy show the night before with Mark Pitta as a headliner and that show was hysterical, so I guess you win some and lose some. He said he performs on cruise ships often so if you get the chance to see him I would recommend it as he had the crowd really laughing.

Took my 4-year old grandson to the park.

Once he got tired of the swingset, he started playing in the standing water and ended up getting soaked up to his knees.

Then I took him to the ice cream shop and got him a large ice cream cone.

We had a great time. However, Mom and Grandma were not pleased.

Learned a lot about bathrooms as we spent three hours picking “stuff” and we signed off on a gut remodel. Blow that dough indeed. There is a shelf that is ADA approved to double as a grab bar that we are including:

Very nice shelf!

It probably needs to be mounted to studs in order to serve as a grab bar. So it will be important to go over this with the contractor to make sure there are framing members in the wall where you want the shelf to be mounted.

Just went through this myself,

Good point! Oh, yes—much discussion and speccing by the contractor on how the wall will be reinforced where the shelf/bar (Choreograph barre by Kohler) will be installed—part of our bathroom education this morning! Our current shelf and towel bars (NO grab bars) are held in place with molly bolts slammed through drywall—the level of DIY in our house . This bathroom will have zero DIY involved.

Or put 3/4" plywood behind the drywall and grab bars can be mounted anywhere with toggle bolts.

Just got home from DD's wedding rehearsal dinner that included all the "cast", local family, and out of towners. Had a nice time at Buca de Beppo and spent a couple of grand.

Now getting ready for the "Big Day" tomorrow evening.

We are in a Harry Potter movie marathon with our 10 year old daughter. It’s fun to see her excitement when watching them. I forgot how good they are.

Good luck today. Hope everything goes off without a hitch. (Well, I guess I should say "with only one hitch")

DH took “the pig” Class A RV to get it emissions tested for plate renewal. Ordered a new kitchen faucet online, got tickets for the Vegas Golden Knights/Sharks games, went with a couple of gal friends who aren’t retired for sangria and tapas. Then stayed up having conversation with a new a new immigrant front Ecuador.
