1--Various Quality Assurance and Compliance managment positions in Medical Device and Pharmaceutical manufacturing. Retired last Friday.

2-- Age 54

3--Married (almost 3 years ago for 3rd time; divorced, widowed and now happily married)..I have two sons, ages 22 and 27; both are single with no kids (I hope!) DW has two daughters...31 and 35 both have two kids each so I was an instant grandfather.

4--Utah but lived in TX, TN, Puerto Rico, NC, IL, and PA.

5--2-3 times a day but who knows now that I am retired?

PS Just saw want2retire's message. I have sort of decided to stay put here in SD even though the home equity moved elsewhere would enable me to ER in Jan 08. I'm a little wobbly on that decision. Temptation abounds!

Very interesting! Here is me:

1. I "retired" but it didn't quite take. Got badgered (in a nice way) into coming back after a year. I'm now working 3 days per week, on my own terms, and having a blast. My boss is (and always was) the greatest, and I love and respect my coworkers. I consider myself "semi-retired" since I have a lot of freedom and flexibility, and know I can walk away from it anytime I want to. I do programming/data analysis for a financial company.

2. Currently 52. Left the company at 51, and have been back for 2 months.

3. Married, no kids. I think that has a lot to do with getting to FIRE sooner.

4. Grew up in small-town, central Pennsylvania; been living in the Baltimore/Washington area for 24 years.

5. I visit almost daily - I love to see that there are others who have the same mindset that I do! Sometimes when I talk to family and friends, I think maybe I'm the crazy one, not spending like there is no tomorrow. Thanks, everyone.
