Very interesting! Here is me:

1. I "retired" but it didn't quite take. Got badgered (in a nice way) into coming back after a year. I'm now working 3 days per week, on my own terms, and having a blast. My boss is (and always was) the greatest, and I love and respect my coworkers. I consider myself "semi-retired" since I have a lot of freedom and flexibility, and know I can walk away from it anytime I want to. I do programming/data analysis for a financial company.

2. Currently 52. Left the company at 51, and have been back for 2 months.

3. Married, no kids. I think that has a lot to do with getting to FIRE sooner.

4. Grew up in small-town, central Pennsylvania; been living in the Baltimore/Washington area for 24 years.

5. I visit almost daily - I love to see that there are others who have the same mindset that I do! Sometimes when I talk to family and friends, I think maybe I'm the crazy one, not spending like there is no tomorrow. Thanks, everyone.

CJ

#1: kinda working - the IRS says it's all unearned income though, so maybe not. Could be in slippers all day but be out fixing a broken pipe at midnight - that's the rental way.
#2: 57, do the rentals all have to be gone to retire?
#3: Been with my honey since we met 29 years ago. No kiddlies.
#4: Born in Valdez Alaska, folks homesteaded. Raised on a bunch of places in Oregon. Here in Independence Oregon now, honey ping-pongs back and forth to 29 Palms Ca. caring for her 92 yo Mom.
#5: Lots, as I wait for the newest rental emergency to call. And there's a call on a shower leak - so off to it!
