Well, it's true that he doesn't celebrate a 'third age' dedicated to self-service and consumption (as opposed to other-service and production), perhaps because a retirement centered on selfish consumption is already the dream of millions of working Americans. He really spends little time on this though, preferring to focus instead on what he considers to be alternative role models. As with any role model, though, you can take 'em or leave 'em depending upon how you're wired.
