"Work Less, Live More" radicals picket in Charlotte, NC!

"It's time to swap Tuesday for Friday, toss out the five-day workweek and allow hardworking Americans a little more down time -- preferably in western North Carolina.
With a straight face, that was the campaign message Tuesday of a group calling itself 'Friends of the Five Day Weekend' that is trying to convince Congress to change the way Americans work -- and don't work."

ESRBob, where were you on Tuesday?

Sweet - they are coming to Raleigh Tues. May 15. Too bad I have to work

I took a nice 4 day weekend this past weekend and it was awesome (Fri and Mon off). Unfortunately Tuesday morning arrived too soon.

Definitely a good taste of FIRE for me. I accomplished relatively little yet had tons of fun just about the whole time (boating on our lake x2, dining out around town, taking the niece out for lunch x2, watching planes take off from the airport observation deck with my niece and daughter, drafted our wills, caught up on home improvement tasks and chores, holding down patio furniture for extended periods of time while cleaning the fridge out of old beer, playing some puter games, and catching up on some leisure reading).

Charlotte - probably not a big attendance. Didn't see anything on local tv either. Really miss going down town. Retired since 2000 and Mint Hill is lots more pleasant!

I wonder how many people will think a 2 day work week is a good idea when they find out they'll have to take a 60% pay cut?

After all, he said, Congress was in session 104 days last year, which averages out to two days a week.
I think everyone's time would be better spent lobbying for even shorter Congressional work weeks.
