That's based on the current projections for when I'll hit my FIRE number.

But not that you're counting.

The last several months at the j*b, I had a countdown displayed on my message board for all to see. There was NEVER any doubt as to how long I had left!

lol - if you think that's bad you should see how the last 3 years I've been checking my Mint and Personal Capital apps several times a day as if by magic I'll find a pot of gold in there.

I just needed some way to measure progress and stay motivated. I figure counting months is probably my best bet at this point.

I think it will be painful to start down that far away. I did the count down for 8 weeks and it seemed like eternity.
