About 50% of my money is in mutual funds within 401ks (mostly index funds) I'm pretty heavily weighted towards large-caps (S&P500). I've started allocating new money to two international funds to diversify a little.
The rest of my money is invested in individual stocks that I listed here:
I'm not much of a bond guy. That might change as I get older, but I think even then that I'd just look for equities with a high dividend yield. I'm currently getting 6-7% on the REITs I own, and the dividends seem reasonably safe (knock on wood). Unless those yields get hit, I just won't be interested in bonds.
