Weak. Sometimes it's the price of business.

Re: company outing

When I worked at a bleeding-edge startup software company we all had a great time together. Everyone was pretty young, though.

I remember a lunchtime champagne cruise (the office was right on a dock). We were supposed to go back to work in the afternoon, but that "so didn't happen."

Re: company outing

The worst company outings are those that include lots of drinking/partying but morph into something more serious.* Had one of those with our management "team"...after 2 hours of being plied with booze, we then had an unannounced "leadership" exercise....interactive stuff that required responses.* After a few minutes one of my coworkers dryly observed...."it's not fair to get people drunk and then ask them questions.!*

Re: company outing

You should have told them that if you have to do the exercises drunk, then you should have to work drunk too.

Re: company outing

That would explain a lot of things I've seen at some companies...
Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Just another form of "buy low, sell high" for those who have trouble with things. This rule is not universal. Do not buy a 1973 Pinto because everyone else is afraid of it.

Re: company outing

Well now

Given my male hormone theory of incurable putzing with stocks/and er funds - AND it's lessor known corallary that women are better investors than men.

Thai beer AND perhaps some female financial advisors??

By the pool of course.

Heh, heh, heh, heh
