Millionaire Conference

I shudder at the percentage of the audience that actually paid $2299 for free web-site access, DVD's and other investment material.

Re: Millionaire Conference

How do you think some of those millionaires are made?

No...not by going to the conference...by running it...

By charging $2299/person for the type of advice dispensed here. But they have to contend with expenses like everyone else-- I guess you have to deduct the cost of the website & DVDs from those receipts.

Never underestimate the power in large groups of stupid people.

If he just gets 60 suckers investors to pay the $2999 that's a 179,940 payday! Yeah I know overhead like renting the hall etc. but he should still clear at least 140k. Man, I 'm in the wrong business!

I hear that Panama desperately needs a Kittell franchise... maybe Hawaii too...

Re: Millionaire Conference

I went to one of these conferences several years ago. It will leave you absolutely speechless. I had the day off and it was in a hotel a couple of miles from my house so I though what the heck. It had a different name than this but the same idea and might have been the same conference.

first someone came up and did memory exercises. He had people on the stage with him. Then he sold a disc for I think $20 that described the techniques to remember names. He had an auction first and people bid it much higher than that but he made a deal because he likes us I guess and sold it for 20. There was loud music pumping and people literally jumped up and ran to the front of the room to buy it, fifty or so. Not bad for a half hours work. I checked afterward and found this guy on the internet and he had written a book about ten years ago that was available at my library if it was what I wanted to do.
Then they had this legal package to do wills, family trusts etc that was over $5,000. At least half a dozen people got that. If you have that much money my opinion is to spring for an attorney who specializes is what you are looking for but what do I know.

The next package was a stock picking package. It was around $3,000 and the way they presented it there was no way you could lose. People stood in line to sign up.They sold at least several hundred. It was quite the presentation. It included several days of training in the next city they would be in.

There were several more packages for sale in the afternoon but I left after I picked up my free lunch. One of them was a buy distressed real estate kit I think, the old no money down.

They were in my city a couple of days, then were making a circuit around the area later that week. It might have been the same presentation as I remember the main speaker talking about his kids and showing a house with pole vaulting in the backyard. The house did not look that spectacular to me and if I recall correctly it was in Utah.

It actually is a great way to see real salespeople in action, the noise, hype and atmosphere was a great lesson on how to sell stuff. It was a very elaborate presentation, if you ever watch the shopping channels you know what I am talking about. They make you feel so warm and fuzzy and how could you ever give up this chance at this great opportunity they were giving you. They were so nice and friendly and there were a surprising number of young professional looking people in the audience. What I found alarming was the elderly people.

Needless to say not only have I not bought anything from any shopping network I certainly didn't buy anything here. The lunch wasn't even that good, it was a bag lunch. You get what you pay for I guess.

Re: Millionaire Conference

WOW

That's so sad!

If any of them would just read "Millionaire Next Door" they would perhaps realize that perhaps the surest way NOT to become a millionaire is to spend your hard-earned money on conferences like these.

If you want a great memory device---pick up a copy of "The Memory Book" by Jerry Lucas.* It works and it's only 10 bucks.
