This is a message of hope to the young dreamers. Today marks 169 days until I am FIREd! My wife and I started this journey in January 1992 -- 23 years ago, some 8,400 days. During the times that I was thinking and dreaming about ER, time seemed to crawl along at a snail's pace; yet most of the time I was actively immersed in life and now those days seem to have flown by. So, hang in there. Thus it shall be for you also!

FIREd, April 1, 2015. My Retirement Benefits Package includes: 6 months vacation, twice a year.

Three years ago (Feb. 1st) I retired at 55. I remember counting down the last 6 months.
