I don't have time to read Larry this morning, only to state once again that 25% of preretirement spending
was relatively easy for us to obtain, even after years of
"livin' large".

In reality, probably not. However, i know before i pull the trigger, i'm going to leave some hedging room. If i think i can live off, say, 50%, i'll have enough for 70%. The only way one could know absolutely for sure what their after-retirement costs will be would be to actually live that way for a while. I guess a planner could estimate it, but its bound to be off some.

I'm in a very niche specific job, and i probably couldnt get my job back, especially if i was old. So i'll have to hedge some.
