Is the New Software Slower?

It's probably coincidence, but it's recently been taking longer to get back to the forum thread after I click the Post button.

Dunno. I'm not noticing it, but I AM seeing about a 50% reduction in server load from the forum.

Traditionally this site has become largely unusable around midnight pacific time. The server starts doing some other kind of activity, I suspect, that causes this.
