How is this possible?

I enter all my numbers into FireCalc. I get a 100% success rate, so from there I start increasing my "annual withdrawals" by $1000. I continue to get 100% success rate for the 1st several increases of $1000, but then on the next increase my success rate drops to 0%. Nothing in between.

This last $1000 increase is about a 0.6% increase from the previous amount entered that gave me 100% succes rate.

utrecht, you might want to post a link to your set of data (see the upper right part of the FIRECalc results page). That will make it easier to see what the problem might be. It sounds like an interesting data set.

Also see the option near the bottom of the "results" tab of the Advanced version, "FIRECalc will search for settings that will get a success rate of as close to ___ % as possible (usually within 1%) by changing... [ ] how much you spend each year. This will do something close to what you are trying.
