Should I gross up VA Disability pension (tax free) that will be 30% of our ER spending?
Or does it even matter (Spending=$82,000 VA=$24,000) at an effective tax rate below 10%?

in FIRECalc, the spending level you input is inclusive of taxes.

So, if I am understanding you correctly, you would not need to gross up the VA disability pension.

However, whatever is your assumed spending level should take into account taxes.
