aca overall cost for the year

I was doing a cost calculator on the kaiser foundation site and it said that I was eligible for a subsidy. I will give you the numbers and you can let me know what you think.

state: iowa
zip: 52002
income: 40,000
no of people: 2
no. to be insured: 1 the other is on medicare
non smoking.
2014 dollars.

it says the amount I should pay after subsidy is 3312 per year. If the deductible on the silver plan is 6000. then my total cost for the year out of pocket is 9312. is this right or am I missing something?

it is the OOP, (out of pocket), maximum cost plus the after subsidy premium cost that is your total potential cost per year
