I injured the back of my heel a while back running on a treadmill. I limped around for a while and then the pain went away. I then noticed a had a small bump on my right tendon. I've gone back to working out on the eliptical machine only and have not had any problems. I did go to the doctor though because I want to resume running at some point. The xray was negative but was told it could be bursitis or a partial tear. The doctor recommended an orthopedic specialist for a second opinion. Has anybody ever dealt with this type of injury and what is the long term effect of this? Like I said there is no pain now and I am able to do other types of workouts that does not seem to effect the area.
