Another day - another health issue - gallstones

My Ultrasound procedure from Monday shows that I have gallstones. My GI doc is sending me to a general surgeon.

My next appointment with a doctor is on Monday, a visit with my Urologist to confirm prostate nodule.

Were you having problems or did they see them because they were looking "inside" you?

I was having pain in my back and upper abdomen, initially I thought it was hiatal hernia. My Utrasound was on Monday, yesterday my GI doc performed the Endoscopy but he left before I woke up, don't know if he saw anything else.

Sorry to hear...getting old sucks...but it is still the better of the two alternatives we have available.

I had my gallbladder removed in 1983 at age 28. You won't miss it and the procedure is so much easier now.

Good luck.

I just had mine removed, the stones were blocking the duct and causing pain, was diagnosed as reflux for a year I lived with it until 1 night it was too much, I went to hospital and said to Doc who came up to me, I got pain in my chest, its not a heart attack and it's not F@#$#ing GERD!!! They did the ultrasound and found the stones and I was in surgery a few hours later. I change PCP after that. Be glad they found them early...
