I read long time ago to take malic acid or drink apple juice or raw apple cider vinegar (I think apples contain malic acid). Malic acid softens the stones or makes the stones easier to pass or something like that.

Never had issues with galbaladder myself so don't know first hand though.

I also read many people follow that with some kind of olive oil and lemon juice fasting which makes you release the softened stones.

Sounds crazy, I know.

I suppose that most Drs' would recommend surgery vs one of these homeopathic type treatments, but if the assessment doesn't look too bad or threatening for more serious complications, I would be inclined to give one of these alternate treatments a try before going under the knife.

I'll have to do some googling and learn more, but I seem to recall apple cider vinegar being a treatment for many different ailments
