Am only posting because of what I found on the internet regarding the use of epsom salt. Don't know whether this is funny or just odd.
DW has a mild infection in her big toe. AHA!!. I know what to do! Digging through the medicine cabinet, I find the epsom salt... On the container, it says "use for occasional constipation" and for "sprains and bruises".
So I look on the intenet for the correct way of soaking... "epsom salt and infection". The first site that comes up contains this warning.

Magnesium sulfate, better known as Epsom salts, is a chemical compound made up of magnesium, oxygen and sulfur. Epsom salts chemical makeup is highly absorbent and draws toxins from whatever surface it encounters, including human skin, which makes it popular for use as a bath salt. Soaking in Epsom salts is also a widely used remedy to treat infections. Epsom salts work well to treat outer infections but should not be ingested. Consumption of Epsom salts can result in magnesium overdose, which can lead to death.
