Ginger Rogers at 92 (NOT)

This is Ginger Rogers at age 92, dancing Salsa with her 29 yr old grandson. The first minute is just a warm-up, then they really get into it. Although Fred Astair was a great dancer, she always did the same things, except backwards, and in heels.

Dancing is obviously great exercise.

I think she died at 84 years old, in 1995. But what do I know?

The video is actually of Sarah "Paddy" Jones, a 75 yr old dancing with her Spanish instructor. She has 7 grandchildren and is from Stourbridge in England. The video was taken in 2009. She took up Salsa dancing in 2003 after her husband died.

Still pretty darn good for a 75 yr old. Now, how best to tell the 85 yr old relative that send me this link that it is not Ginger......

Some of the U-tube comments suggest that the woman's name is Sarah Paddy Jones and she is/was 72 years old in the video.

It's an inspirational video and shows a woman who can still dance! Thanks for posting it.

How about a video of George Burns, where we could discuss the health benefits of cigars?

I got a link from one of my "friends" the other day. Was supposed to be Nadia Comaneci's granddaughter doing acrobatics. The young lady really was very talented but I was thinking that Nadia was just a little girl not so very long ago. A quick google search revealed that Nadia has only one son and he is still in grade school. Who do you think actually starts all these bogus emails and why? Are they phishing for email addresses of especially gullible peope?

Some folks have too much time on their hands. I normally check on e-mails like this that I get forwarded from someone I know, but this time I fell for it. With it being a youtube video maybe they get cudos out of the number of hits they get?

As TromboneAl has noted, if a YouTube video gets a certain number of hits then YouTube offers to share advertising revenue with the poster.

Google certainly doesn't check each video for authenticity.

You may have a good point. That video is now over 433k hits.

I still enjoyed it Alan. In fact, I think she did things I'd be hard pressed to do! Well...maybe with a LOT of practice .

I'm pleased that some of you folks liked the video even though the old dear was not who she perported to be. When my wife and I, who do yoga and bodyflow every week and are 20 years younger than the lady, watched it, we kept saying things like, "my shoulders don't bend that way", and "that would put me in hospital in an instant".

Yea, I really don't care who she is, that was awesome! I kept waiting for her back to snap, I think mine would have.
