I thought this was interesting: I just got a nice letter from Capital Blue telling me they were required by ACA to issue me a check for $103 :) since they spent less than 80 percent of their total received premiums on actual health care services, as opposed to salaries and advertising, in 2014.

Was this through a company?

My last full year of work I got one for about $800....

I got notification of one as well. It is enough to pay a couple of months premiums.

Our company got checks several years in a row. The company applied the funds to employee "welfare", ie. a breakfast at a staff meeting 😡. Their explanation was the money was too small to make a difference to the staff.
