Does anyone know of a website which provides good insights regarding the purchase of an individual health plan i.e. costs, best provider based on opinions from actual customers?

Given that 95% of people out there have no idea how their health insurance works or even what their deductible is, I don't think I would rely on their advice for what a "reasonable" cost is. You need the help of an independent agent who knows your market. There's no cost to have the help of an independent agent, they are paid by the insurance company and the rates are exactly the same as if you bought directly from the company.
