How many extra showers do you take if you do something messy in the hot tub?

Being retired, usually 2-3x/week. No interest in supporting the water company.

In my early twenties my dermatologist told me that with my skin type I ideally should not shower more than once a week.

That goal is impossible but I try to skip showers on days where I don't have to.

I wondered that, but was somewhat reticent to inquire.

Once a month whether I need to or not (j/k).

When I was w**rking, showered every workday at least once (twice sometimes). Plus usually once or twice every non-every w**kday. So 7 to 10 times a week. Same for shaving.

Now retired, showering has dropped to 5 to 7 times per week. Shaving is seldom more than every other day so I'd say 5 times per week.

I guess my personal hygiene is degrading along with my mental and physical capabilities as I get older....

A poll on this would have been interesting.

I think you will get an answer of every day in the USA. It's almost universal here.
I've lived in some parts of Europe where folks do not take a bath everyday.

I prefer tub time. Will shower if pressed for time. Doesn't happen much in ER.

Usually every morning. Evening as well if working hard or sports. If at the lake just go for a dip a few times a day instead and may not shower for a couple of days though eventually have to do the hair. Shampoo is frowned on in the lake.

At least once a day - after my jog or bike ride.
Again if I get hot and sweaty working outdoors.

My folks replaced their coal furnace with natural gas when I was 7. That meant they had reliable hot water, so my dad installed a shower. He always considered a hot shower a luxury.

I agree, it makes me feel like I'm living the good life.

I showered every morning while working. Now in ER, it's only as needed. But I usually shower and shave if I'm going out in public, and always after riding my bike or any other activity that involves dirt and sweat. I like to conserve water, so I try to plan my activities to avoid unneeded showers. Sometimes a couple laps in the pool will substitute for a shower after yard work. On average, I probably shower 4-5 times per week.

I love to take showers. It gives me fell good energy. I shower every evening, and during the day after any activity that makes me sweat or tired.

Each morning, and then sometimes in evening if I have been doing a lot of physical or dirty work. Morning shower to help wake me up!

I shower practically every day especially in the summer. I think getting away with not showering everyday is fine as long as you are keeping the specific parts that must be cleaned washed everyday. Just washing those specific parts without a daily shower is clearly preferable for people whose skin is easily irritated. Some people don't sweat a lot so even if they're sharing a bed with someone might be able to get away with not showering daily but cuddle and getting intimate without a shower or at least cleaning those specific parts, gross.

Raised by environmentalists, my routine all of my life has been once on the weekend and sponge baths in between and every night. I do shower more if I feel I need it due to particularly sweaty or dirty activities. I have never been a very sweaty or smelly person so this works for me.

Usually every day but if I have a day with nothing going on I might skip that one day.
