This sounds pretty similar to the DASH diets used for folks with high blood pressure risk (which is in turn a big factor in stroke risk).

I take Pot. pills after I work out

For years, after I run or work out in the gym, I take potassium pills I buy in the health food store. Have been doing this since the 1970's. If it were dangerous, I would be dead by now. By the way, my blood pressure slightly low.
