Unfortunately, it is sadly lacking in the number of insurers in my county. DuPage, Illinois. It doesn't show BCBSIL in any of the years. There may be others missing as well.

Maybe I misunderstand it. But that is what I think

For 2017, it lists Centene, Cigna, and HCSC. HCSC is the parent company of BCBS Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Imagine that! I was looking for BCBSIL. I Guess Ill take my original comment back. As Gilda Radner said, "Never mind".

I do not think the number of insurers is that significant unless you have none of course, at least for us it is not. We just have FloridaBlue in ours, BUT they have so many plans to choose form I cannot count them. That is like having 100 insurers as far as I am concerned.

The link below contains a preliminary 2018 map based on information released so far.

https://www.vox.com/health-care/2017...-missouri-ohio

Quote:
There are now 47 counties scattered across Missouri, Ohio, and Washington with zero health plans signed up to sell 2018 marketplace coverage. Approximately 38,000 enrollees now live in places where no health plans want to sell coverage in 2018.

Funny I just saw an article about the two counties in Washington state that had no insurers on the ACA for 2018. One was a county we had considered buying property in (Grays Harbor). Dodged a bullet there I guess.

I am not sure what will happen to the ~2000 people in that county that currently have an exchange policy. It is not a rich county and likely these people cannot afford to buy a similar policy off exchange. My guess is they will go without insurance.
