I haven't posted for awhile. I was satisfied in just maintaining my weight but I have lost a little more since my last post. I've had two private Pilates classes over the last two weeks and hopefully I can begin to build up a little muscle. My body fat percentage isn't very good. IF I see any improvements in my body fat percentage, after I do more Pilates, I MIGHT post body fat percentage....then again it might be too embarrassing.

6/23: vacation

Amazed I didn't add a few after having someone cook three meals a day for me plus snacks always out in between meals plus open bar. Thought for sure I'd gain 3 to 5 pounds.

Up a pound this week, but down 40 (yes!) since October. I'll take it!

Onward and downward we go....

And congrats to us all for keeping on keeping on!

Looks like people are doing well or at least hanging in there!

After a few days in the Carolinas and making friends with fried green tomato sandwiches (garnished with avocado and God's gift of Bacon ), she-crab soup, and praline pecans, had a decent weigh-in this morning!

Goal beginning 4/22: -25 lbs.
4/29, week 1, -4.6 lbs.: -4.6 lbs. total
5/6, week 2, -2.6 lbs: -7.2 lbs. total
5/13, week 3, -3.2 lbs.: -10.4 lbs. total
5/20, week 4, -1.6 lbs.: -12 lbs. total
5/27, week 5, -1 lb.: -13 lbs. total
6/3, week 6, -1.6 lbs.: -14.6 lbs. total
6/10, week 7, -2.4 lbs.: -17 lbs. total
6/17, week 8, -2.6 lbs.: -19.6 total
6/24, week 9, skipped: -19.6 total
7/1, week 10, -1 lb.: -20.6 total

Will be gone again the next two weeks so hope mega walking will offset vacation food.

Thanks - but the reason I'm resetting lower is to try to lose more weight during the summer so that when I gain 20 lbs in the winter I won't be as fat as previous winters.

Reported on this thread going from 200 to 176ish back in 2007 and held onto it for about 2 years, then crept up to 198 again. Bummer. Started running into a few old low back issues and since my semi-ER job (I'm 51 now) requires being in good shape I definitely had to take action. So worked my way back down to 178 this spring, but this time with a lot more effort into low back strengthening (lots of abdom exercises in addition to mostly swimming, a few minor weights, blah, blah) and a couple more prolo treatments. Seems like 170ish is just too much work to maintain for me (6 ft). The extra ab stuff is a PITA but it does help the back along with the prolo. Now I just have to keep it going for more than 2 years. Hopefully this thread will still be kickin around for inspiration
