After all the weeks at a plateau my weight has finally started to change again . Yeh ! It's only down one more pound but I'll take it . I think I may have to celebrate by buying new pants . My old ones are getting pretty baggy .

i'll play in this game, since I have been trying to loose weight and it will be nice to be accountable to some virtual amigos.

5/5/10 - 242 lbs 22.8 BF%
6/8/10 - 235 lbs 21.7 BF%
9/14/10 - 229 lbs 18.7 BF%

My goal is 210-215 lbs by next august. 213 is the lightest I have been since age 16. I'm training for the PBP next year (hopefully I get in). If I get in or not, I am still shooting for loosing another 15-20 lbs.

I don't know anyone who can lose or gain weight as fast as myself - I honestly think I lack some sort of static control normal humans have. Trying to get below 200 again before I FIRE June 2011.

I know I'm a bit late but here goes:

1979 (College) 5-10 174 4.51 40
1990 5-10 185 4.7 40
2000 5-10 190 4.9 40
2010 5-10 194 5.1 40

I don't like this trend!

That's great. Half a pound doesn't sound like a lot but that's actually the equivalent of two bars of soap! Good job!

Went to Smart & Final (mini-warehouse chain) & avoided the megapacks of power bars/meal replacement bars. My intention is aways to use them as 200-300 calorie meals, but I always end up eating 5 or 6 of them at a time in a fit of weakness when there's nothing else in the house. Trying to stick to real unprocessed food.

Up a pound at this week's weigh-in. Meh. I weeble and wobble around for a couple of weeks, then drop a pound or two in a week -- it's the way things have gone for the last 40 weeks, so I'm not going to worry about it.

My challenge recently? I'm recipe testing. Cookies, for a non-profit bake sale coming up. Big cookies. This is fun, but as you can imagine, I'm eating more dessert than normal.

Same weight as last week but I am happy with that since we went out to eat three times . I did avoid the bread but it still was more calories than when I cook at home .

Target 175lbs

1/06 186.5
2/03 183.5
3/03 182.0
4/07 181.0
5/05 180.0
6/02 180.0
7/07 179.0
8/04 179.5
9/01 178.0
9/29 178.0

Well, at least I didn't take a step backward this month. Need to shave off 2lbs in October. Then shoot for 1 more by year end to reach my goal. Doable, but the holidays will make it tough.

Had my end of the month weigh in. Down 2.8 lbs. since Aug 31. Total down 9.4 lbs. since Aug 4.

I was struggling with some low energy workouts last month so I've been eating some more fat (nuts mostly) this month and that has slowed the rate of loss down by half. It's hard to find the right balance.

Still haven't had any grains, beans, or starches since the beginning of August, oh, except a little popcorn and beer at a Broncos game, haha. Aside from that, my only treat has been 460 calories of ice cream once each week. Ice cream isn't high glycemic, so I figure it's an okay occasional treat. Haven't really been hungry at all eating this way, but once or twice I actually got the ice cream because it seemed like I needed more calories that day due to feeling weaker than normal.

My biggest problem is lack of sleep, I think if I can get more sleep my body will recover from my workouts better, cortisol levels will go down and it will let go of some of the fat it's saving, hopefully, so I'm hoping to see a bigger loss next month.
