Male, age 68, 5'8", 164lbs, BMI 24.7

Goal is unclear -- maybe 150. I'm down 10lbs over the last two months, and down about 20lbs over the last year. I've given up all desserts (except fresh fruit), soft drinks, sandwiches, as of several years ago, and currently I don't eat anything before 10am (a peculiar diet, I know). My remaining dietary vices are wine and cheese. I really need to lose more before Christmas so that I can afford to sample the 8 monastery fruitcakes that I just got in the mail.

I'm skipping weigh in for a few weeks since I had surgery (nothing big ) but my dressing probably weighs a few pounds plus my leg is swollen . I'm still being good and I will return in a few weeks hopefully healed and thinner !

After a few weeks away from serious weight loss efforts, I went to Weight Watchers this morning and was pleased to see I had maintained the 25 lb. loss. So I thought hey, why not do it again? Another 25 lbs. will be hard but will put me at the lower end of the WW range for my height, and will be a good goal to keep me focused through the holidays (and please someone tell me why Home Depot is selling Halloween candy! It's everywhere!). So this will be week 1 of "Take Off 25 The Sequel, New! and Improved! with Exercise!"

Glad to see everyone is hanging in there and staying conscious of where we're at, and Alan, only 1 lb. for being away from your routine for a month? That's unbelievable!

That's a heck of a target to aim at - pip pip, tally ho and all that

I was very pleased at only putting on 1 lb during the vacation. DW is not too happy though, as she didn't do so well and we both now have a target of losing 5 lb before Christmas, but her 5 lb is close to 5% of her current weight

I checked out the weight watchers chart and for my present weight I am just below the healthy weight for my height but if I wear heels I'm at the middle of the healthy weight plus I'll look sexier . So it's a toss up whether to forge ahead in the weight loss or buy new shoes .

Exercising like crazy and back to normal eating, so a bit disappointed to have not lost a single lb. At least I didn't go up

Not trying very hard beyond my normal "watch what I eat" and exercise a bunch. I really have to kick it extra hard to get down to target, and just haven't been motivated lately!

Quite the exciting rumors going about some big changes coming to the Weight Watchers program the end of November! What could they be? All you can eat Fridays? No points counted for beer? How many weight loss secrets are left to discover? I predict carbs will count for more points than currently and more "activity" will be required.

Anyway, my 25 lb. the sequel begins:

Goal beginning 10/7/10: -25 lbs.
10/14, week 1, -1.2 lbs.: -1.2 lbs. total

Great start on that next 25, I am sooo impressed

Do tell what WW reveals next month. They've had a winning formula for many years that they've tweaked now and then so I can't think what the big changes could be. May be they are going metric. 81.647 kgs sounds much lighter than 180 lbs.
