Due to a bout of bronchitis, I've cut way back on smoking.

4-8-2009 197.2# 21% fat
I think I'm at the limit where not eating much will get me without losing muscle mass. For the last month or so I've been eating a protein shake and coffee for breakfast steamed rice with hot mustard for lunch and then usually some stirfry or a burger for dinner. Prior to this I didn't eat breakfast at all which I hear is a bad thing to do.

186 -1 lbs but I think I'm pretty much at a bottom. I'm 6' 2" and the tape measure body fat measurement puts me at about 18%, but I have to think that's a little high. I'll let you guys be the judge next week when I post the Hawaii pics.

Simplegirl...I didn't realize calories could give a person the jitters. It felt awful and was rather scary. After cutting way back, I seem to have lost my sugar tolerance...not a bad thing, I guess. No more sugar OD's for me! As for the stress, I am frustrated at work just now, but at least I am getting PAID, which is more than many can say!
F'dude, maybe you will lose weight faster while in SC...let's hope so...
Bestwife, 2 pounds in a week!
FrugApathy...definitely you want to eat breakfast. I find I can eat a very modest dinner if I've laid a good foundation (so to speak) with a nourishing breakfast.
Laurence...my husband is 6' 2.5" and 186 is heavy for him, but he's got a long, leggy wedge-shaped build--wiry, not muscular--so he only has space for about 175 pounds max. Your mileage probably varies We'll be watching for those pictures

Well, I expected my weight to go up after a weekend of way too much food, but I still hoped I'd be under 200. No such luck.

I'm back on my 6-day diet starting today, so by next week I think I'll be in the 196 range.

Great progress over the past two weeks. I've also had to put away my largest jeans as they are too big now.

Yeah...I'm definitely at the limit of what diet can do for my bnody unless I start only drinking liquids like when I had bronchitis. I'm (re)joining a gym today and we'll see if that helps anything.

Didn't really do anything different this week except a little portion control and took the stairs at work a little more. I am thinking my body is getting use to not having soda. I was not expecting to see the scale dip below 215 so I am ecstatic with my results.

I bought a yoga mat a few weeks back but have not used it yet. I am watching fittv and doing a little exercise, but not enough where I would lose weight from it. Just getting up away from the computer and walking around the house more must be a factor.

According to the BMI I need to be at 165 or less to be in the normal weight range. I'm kind of a barrel chested muscly frame though. If I start working out like I should I'll hopefully be able to to get my body fat down but not drop below 180. For a male my age my body fat is supposed to be in the 8-19% range to be healthy. Since I'm at 22% now I should only be able to drop 27 pounds before I become underweight which would still put me as overweight according to the BMI.

Hopefully I can exchange 27 pounds of fat for 12 pounds of muscle and be at a healthy 180.

End of week 2 at Weight Watchers. As WW costs $12/week where I live, I'm figuring I'm worth just under $6/lb. Not prime, but possibly choice. Or good. Or chopped liver.

Still at 136# and determined not to be too frustrated about it...
It is so weird to be this big, yet wear a "smaller" size than when I was younger and somewhat thinner. In 1980 I was a size 12; now I'm a 6 or an 8.
