Hey, it's okay to splurge every now and then. Hopefully you get back on track, then you'll feel much better and look forward to the next splurge.

Simple girl, sometimes it is more important to have fun!

I will not weigh again until I get my kitchen wrestled back from the guys installing my countertops, and until the 15 lbs of potatoes and 10 cases of beer are gone from my house this weekend for the big St. Pat's party Saturday night!

I will promise some crazy wearing o' the green pics by Monday!

Loosing weight is going to be more challenging. My agent contacted me last week to tell me a publisher is interested in my last book proposal (a computer book), and wants me to tweak, massage, and re-submit it for them . . . which means there's a good chance they'll pick up the project, then I'll be living to write on a deadline for three months.

It's fun (for the first month and a bit). It's exhausing (always). It's a challenge I really enjoy. But it's also hard to live healthy (really really hard), to exercise or eat well, when I'm mixing a big project in and around "work" (which is actually going back to school for a career change right now) and family. I'm already waking up at night because I can't stop thinking about school or book, but I also feel more alive, a lot better about myself when I'm running a regular writing gig or have a book in progress. It just feels like what I need to do.

At least I have been loosing weight. I'm half way to my goal weight at the top end of my BMI range.

Mar-12-08: At 169.5 lbs, BMI of 25.8
Mar-05-08: At 170.0 lbs, BMI of 25.8
Feb-27-08: At 170.5 lbs, BMI of 25.9
Feb-20-08: At 170.5 lbs, BMI of 25.9, Hips/Waist: 36-3/4"/34-1/4" (93%)
Feb-13-08: At 172.0 lbs, BMI of 26.1
Feb-06-08: At 174.0 lbs, BMI of 26.5
Jan-30-08: At 172.0 lbs, BMI of 26.1
Jan-23-08: At 173.5 lbs, BMI of 26.4
Jan-16-08: At 174.0 lbs, BMI of 26.5
Jan-09-08: At 175.0 lbs, BMI of 26.6, Hips/Waist: 37"/35" (95%)

At 5'8" with hips measuting 37" that makes target weight 164.5 lbs and target waist measurement 33.25". 10.5 lbs and 1.75" to go.

Hi everyone!

Can I join the weigh-in group (without sharing how much I currently weigh...a woman does have secrets after all ) ?

Let's just say after having my daughter almost 2 years ago, I haven't been able to get rid of the babyfat . I officially kicked off my plan last week so hopefully I'll have some good news to post every week .

2/13: 194.8 16.4%
2/20: 191.8 16.5%
2/27: 192.0 16.6%

3/12: 192.8 16.2%
3/19: 191.2 15.8%

Goal: 192.0 15.3%

Nice to see the fat percentage dropping. But I'm going away for a long weekend involving a whole bunch of overeating, so I expect to be around 194 at next week's check-in.

Way to go Dude, keep it going.

I'm well down today as well. No, wait a minute, that was my stocks.

Weight is 173. In range. The very effort of posting here keeps me focused.

Kronk,

You seem to be continuing to make steady progress. I'm sure it has been asked already but I'm losing my memory easier than I'm losing weight. What do you use for your body fat measurement?

129# Very frustrating! I was very good except one day this week (my Thai friend invited us over for authentic thai food...just couldn't turn it down!).

Keepin' on the same plan, hoping to keep temptation at bay!

Whoo! Today (3/20) I checked in at 189.0, 15.8% fat. That's the first time I've been under 190 in the last few years. Again, it won't last with an indulgence weekend forthcoming, but it still feels good. I might have to change my goal. Maybe I could get down to 185 by the time I test for my 3rd degree black belt later this year...

Well, after 2 weeks, one with lots of good european food, and one sick as a dog with a diverticulitis attack, I'm right where I was before I left...231. Problem is I can't do any strenuous exercise for a bit yet. Doc says wait a bit more and make sure I'm well. Went out for a walk today with DW, took it real slow and went about 2 miles. Going to visit Nords' territory in a few days, can't wait for a little tropical relaxation. Was looking forward to a jog with DD, but will settle for long walks with DW and DD instead.

As expected, the long weekend of overindulgence (1 Chinese buffet, 2 Mexican lunches, 1 Italian dinner, 1 big Easter dinner, plus a whole bunch of ice cream, candy, and cookies) bumped me up a couple of pounds. So this week is a get-back-to-normal week.

Wow, you are obviously doing well to eat all that and only put on a pound or so.

I was 173.5 today so still in my range of 170 -175.

124#.

OK, before you all start congratulating me on my 5# weight loss in one week, I must confess it is completely due to getting sick and being very dehydrated Well, illness sure is an interesting way to lose weight, and not one I'd recommend! LOL

Feeling better tonight, I'm sure I'm already back up 3 or 4#.
