Combination of eating a bit bad with less exercise = weight gain. It's not rocket science! I've been having lots of tooth pain and hence have been drugged out on the couch with pain killers. Finally had a root canal yesterday and slept the whole night through last night without pain!!! So now time to get back to eating right, exercising, and not feeling sorry for myself!

I hope you told the dentist to get the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth. (wait a minute, you're not a lawyer, and it was not an extraction, but I just love that joke).

Hope you feel better soon

Ah, but when you described that breakfast on another thread it sounded worth it

I gained a bit back this week. However, I know that is down to what I did rather than anything else. A weekend of eating crap, not as much exercise as on previous weeks and I paid the price. Have gotten back on track this week.

Yes, it was. I rarely go out to eat breakfast, maybe once or twice a month.

I just had a thought (uh oh ). I've posted my goals as these:
Short Term Goal - 170 lbs and maintaining all through 2010
Long Term Goal - 165 lbs for 2011
High school weight 135 lbs senior year, running track

I just put pics of me from my HS senior year on the Seventies photo thread, i.e. when I weighed 135 lbs and was very into sports. I just looked at the pics again, then in my own mirror, and realized I was now within 40 lbs of my high school weight. That made me feel really good.
I doubt I will get down to 135 lbs, without the exercise level that running track as a "miler" required. But it just seemed a little less distant in the grander scheme of things. Good stuff!

I have no illusions about ever reaching my HS weight. I was 6' 1.5", 161 lbs fully clothed and a 32" waist. End of 1st year at college and I was already up to 182 lbs fully clothed, which is why my target has been 175 (no clothes).

I'm at my HS weight now...so I'm satisfied. I've never been really skinny, but what I call average. I have a feeling my % of fat has increased over the years.

SimpleGirl,

To crown it all, this thin veneer of jokes must put a painful cap on what has been an experience, filled with an amalgum of pain and anguish

Oh Lord! You all bring a SMILE to my face! I love this kind of humor!

And yes, I am doing MUCH better over the past day or two...weaning myself off the pain meds...hopefully I will be able to celebrate with liquid meds soon!

So pleased to hear that you are feeling better and ready to come off the pain killers.

Have yourself a wee dram of single malt, or something else that has a real bite to it.

Weigh-in tomorrow, maybe the sore tooth has caused you to cut back on the calories this week?
