Thanks all for the information, I asked for a second opinion on the tests that have been run. I am taking the meds and will followup in 3 weeks.

Just one guys experience - went to doctor after recognizing that I was not recuperating as fast as earlier years when I was exerting myself. Wanted to confirm it was just age (~50 at the time) and not a heart problem. Ended up doing the nuclear stress test which suggested I had a prior heart attack and part of my heart was not working fully. As followup I went to a heart specialist in Houston that my wife had excellent confidence in. Found out that these nuclear tests give significant % of false positive results (ie...say there is a problem when there is not). Later looking at internet to confirm, looks like maybe about 15-20% false positive. Per doctor advice, I ended up with a followup external scanning test (forgot name of test) that scanned for buildup of plaque in my arteries -- found none, doctor claimed that was quite good for someone my age but still recommended an angiogram. Later did an Angiogram which also found no issues. My learning is that the nuclear stress test is a good screening test. I would not ignore the results and would followup with whatever doctors suggest. But I wouldn't be overly concerned based solely on that test.

Probably a good idea as Angiograms are not without risk.

Well all, thanks again for the information. I had the second opinion and it was still the same as the first; could not tell for sure. I had the Angiogram today and all is fine, no blockages or other issues, good for another 50 years or so.
