I am looking for some advice regarding a Medicare choice. I’m facing minor hand surgery next year. Some of the Medicare Advantage plans in my area list out-patient surgery co-pays as 20% of cost. Does anyone have any ideas how to get an accurate cost estimate? Several plans list fixed co-pays ranging from $300-400 each occurrence.
I’m not comfortable with the blank check of 20% of cost. Who’s to say that the cost on Monday isn’t more then on Friday because there is more demand for Monday surgery?
