I am still a couple of years away from Medicare age, but have decided to start researching my options. We expect to continue to live abroad, but will be back in the States for a few weeks annually to visit. My own purpose for Medicare would be to cover medical emergencies while visiting in the US and as a hedge against the possibility that we might someday resettle in the US, although that is not our plan.
I am wondering what kind of Medicare packages other expats in a similar situation are signing up for. Does anyone have any experience along with cost figures?
