Sorry to hear about your mother's illness. I hope her surgery and recovery goes as smoothly as it did for the 82-year old mother of a friend who recently had the same procedure for the same reason. She was home the next day and feeling good within a week. It was also caught very early, which we hope is the same for your mother.

Dear Purron,

I can't answer your question, but I hope everything will go well for you and your mom. Glad to hear they can do this with a laparoscopy. Best wishes from a fellow cat lover in Europe.

I had cervical cancer 6 years ago and had to have what was called a radical hysterectomy. My surgeon did my laproscopically (sp) and I was down a day or two...and back to "normal" within 2 weeks. I hope they can do hers the same way and not "cut" her...Good luck.

She came through the surgery great today. The doctor is pretty sure the cancer hadn't spread, but we'll know for sure once the test results come back. She'll be released from the hospital tomorrow.

Thanks for all your well wishes.

Wonderful! I hope the test results don't take too long, and that they are encouraging. But anyway, it sounds like a very positive report so far,

That's great news! Make sure you rest well too as am sure you will be busy caring for her and running more errands over the next few weeks.

Glad to hear this Purron. These things are so stressful. It's great when things turn out well.
