Also, your DW sure seems to be doing her part to be supportive. If ever there were good justification for OMY syndrome I'd say this is it. I wish for you that your anticipated 3 year wait ends up being much quicker than that.

Sorry you're going through this and I wish you all the best. I am glad to hear that your wife is being so supportive and I wish you both strength to deal with everything you're facing. You've already handled so much, I'm sure you'll handle this as well!

I am so very sorry to read about your health problems. I can't imagine going through this one time and you are going through it multiple times. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I agree with Ha, that you have incredible strength. I hope that you get the medical care that you need quickly.

Really puts our endless discussions of 2% vs 2.04% SWR and other stuff in perspective when someone is dealing with what the OP has had to deal with.
Wish you the best of health.

Mike, You are a brave man and have a very good wife. We pray that you get a transplant of pancreas soon. Wish you many many more happy and healthy years. God Bless!

Mike, I have met insulin-dependent diabetics who had implanted insulin pumps for tight blood sugar control. One person said the machine automatically checks her blood sugar every 30 seconds and administers insulin accordingly without need for fingersticks. Is this an option for you? If not, why?

Mike,
I'm so sorry to hear about all your health problems. You've certainly been through more than most people and your attitude is still so positive. I hope your transplant comes through sooner than expected.

Mike, Sending you supportive thoughts to add to all the others that posted. Since you have been down this path before you know what to expect but am hoping things "move along" quickly for you. My brother donated his kidney to a friend. Living donors are heroes. Scratch that. "ALL" donors are heroes. Hoping for and wishing you the best!

I'm so sorry, Mike. Thanks for sharing your story. I have kidney disease and I'm afraid one day they may fail.

Mike, thank you for sharing your story. You have reinforced my strong desire to donate anything anyone can use from my body once I no longer need them. Best of luck to you, you are in my thoughts.
