DH & I just joined the Medicare ranks. They have a secure site
https://www.mymedicare.gov/ for accessing personalized information regarding your Medicare benefits and services, claim information, keeping track of self reported personal/ family history & printing it out for physician visits, etc. Seems like a handy way of keeping track of things.
I decided I would input dh's history & family history as he's having some medical issues. "MyMedicare" has a check off list of conditions for family. The list has only one cancer option & that is prostate. No option to insert that his mother had colon ca & father kidney ca, or any other cancer, nor, for that matter other pertinent & significant family conditions.
But... get this ... if you know that your parent/relative had cradle cap, crossed eyes, diaper rash, or even erectile dysfunction..... yepper, you can check those boxes & report it @ your next physician visit.
They have a "chat" option. So I chatted with an agent who learned by looking at the site that they no longer (did they @ one time?) have an option to add conditions under "Other". The agent suggested I give feedback @ the end of my "MyMedicare" visit. I agreed. When I clicked on the "Feedback" tab, that basically got me into a bazillion FAQ's. I lost interest in trying to provide feedback.
On the positive side, it is nice to be able to view the "claims" & not have to keep all that paper @ home & hopefully stay current with where one is with deductibles, etc.
