New Healthcare.gov Website

I signed up with the site for updates, but so far the e-mail "updates" have been more like spam. Blind repetition of stuff announced long ago (e.g. Oct 1 Open Enrollment, basic Exchange features, concept of "metal" Plan levels, etc.) Visited the site today & had on-line chat with 'em, but still no info on Exchange for my state (which is using Federal Exchange, FWIW). IIRC, timetable published this yr indicated companies participating & preliminary rates for states on Fed Exchanges would be available by July. Hard to budget for HI/deductibles/copays without knowing what your bills will be.

BTW- I noticed that HC.gov is holding a "Google Hangout" tomorrow on their YouTube channel- along with rep's from political group "Mom's Rising". They are clearly left-of-center, so political balance will Rush Limbaugh be on their next "Hangout"

Tried to log on to the Google Hangout at the scheduled hour this afternoon via link provided in e-mail they sent. Unfortunately, no Hangout, just various older YouTube videos. Wonder if they rescheduled- or maybe cancelled?
Interesting the very low # views for such an important topic affecting millions. For example, the general video on "Marketplace for Individuals & Families" as of today only had ~8,500 views, and "Enrolling is a click away" just 900+ views. Seems the public either knows everything about ACA already, or this Oct's OE process will be like herding cats

Well, there has already been two delays in implementation, so I expect more. The bill was hastily and poorly written, and I don't think HHS had any idea the work it would take to implement.

Finally able to log on. The "Hangout" started about 18min late, kicked off with a political rant by 'guest' Kristen (Momsrising.org), included an existing HHS video on the Marketplace, and then too few questions before they were "out of time". All very basic info, except useful clarification that COBRA-eligible folks can use Marketplace (Exchange) as well if they choose.
Bottom line- A frustrating waste of part of my afternoon

Ha Ha Ha, BCBS sent an email out to subscribers, to view an information video about ACA. The video was all about the exchanges if you didn't have HI, they really know their audience.
