% of Medicare Advantage by State

We just renewed our Oregon Regence Blue Cross PPO Advantage Plan for 2020. Premiums went down 1$ to 47/mo plus part B. They added Acupuncture, Mental Health, Hearing health & hearing aids, Meal delivery, Naturopathy, Podiatry, and Therapeutic massage to the 2020 coverage.

We also use the Vision, Dental & free gym membership coverage.

Those are very nice add-ons to have available (really).

Sometimes I think I could use a little mental health help but I just turn off the news.

when I pull up the medicare.gov website I don't see any ma plans listed. do you have to go look for them or are there states that don't offer them? I am in Iowa and have not seen any ma plans. before retirement we were with blue cross ad were happy with them.

ETA: I plugged in zip code 52002 and it only returned 4 Medicare Cost Plans, a special type of Advantage plan. They are not the HMO/PPO type plans usually discussed on the forum.

Medicare Cost Plans are a type of Medicare health plan available in certain areas of the country.
Here are important facts about Medicare Cost Plans:

• If you have Part A and Part B and go to a non-network provider, the services are covered under Original Medicare . You would pay the Part A and Part B Coinsurance and Deductible .

I wonder if people my age (early 50s) will even have a choice in our future...I figure we'll all get forced into some sort of MA plan.
