I used one (that I got for free as t&t (trinkets and trash) from a business conference a long time ago) to map out my neighborhood. 10,000 steps? I better go find it again.

... hey vinente, how did you know I ... oh never mind ...

Not requirements, just wants.

The ones I had counted bumps in the road, the dog jumping in my lap, sitting down, etc, as steps. I'd just like one that pretty much only measures steps. As I said, I can use the cell pone to measure distances. I like to know how far I've hiked, but I'd also like to know how many steps in a day overall. I'll take a look at the Omicron. I'll look at the iPod attachment too, but I don't usually carry the iPod everywhere. I wonder if I could hack it to work with my cell phone?

Edit: Nevermind. The iPod thing doesn't work with the classic. And I can't find a windows based app for my phone.
