Question on timley coordination of open enrollment
I have a question for those who might have a better understanding of HI open enrollment, in this case I am referring specifically to employer subsidized HI for those still employed. Is there any regulatory basis for annual enrollment periods to be coordinated in time, by calendar dates? Or has it just been a custom that can be done away with should the providers desire?
DW's enrollment period ends 11-7, and mine begins 11-6; and I have not yet received any info regarding cost on mine. Impossible to make an informed decision when data is unavailable, and with ER planned for 2014 this is an extremely important decision as it directly impacts ability to choose retiree HI from either employer. Google searches not too effective on this, not sure if it is because of lack of available info, or just due to the high level of background noise these days.
