Should my sugar have risen this much?

I'm a fairly new type 2.

Went from 100 to 132 on the following meal (3g total carbs):

2 eggs
Sausage pattie
Large Diet Coke

Or did they give me regular Coke by mistake? (I have a cold and can't tell the difference)

I'm also a type 2 diabetic (have been for about 5 yrs) and I get spike like this from time to time. Your Gluco meter reading is just a snap shot of a very small slice of time. Your A1c is a better indicator of whats going on inside of you. I get my labs done about every 6 months or so and even A1c seems to jump around at times.

That meal looks pretty carb-healthy unless that sausage patty is hiding carbs. If they slipped you a regular Coke that would probably jack up your readings.
