Sildenafil price drop

Finally Viagra is going off patent and the generic Sildenafil is getting a lot more reasonable. I have seen 100 @ 100mg for $1.08 at Walmart (GoodRx). Actually getting cheaper than sketchy Indian pharmacies that sell who knows what.

Not too long ago they wanted $17 a pill.

Correction
You meant 100 @ 100mg for $108.51 at Walmart, which is $1.09 per pill.

As for the manufacture country, check all your meds and ask the pharmacist, many are made in the EXACT same countries the FDA constantly tells us not to buy from.

What I find interesting about the Viagra patent, is that as well as I can figure out, it was the dosage that was patented. Not the drug.
Sildenafil in 20mg doses is available in a generic. The trade name is Reviato. It is approved for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

It is totally legal for a physician to prescribe it for "other medical uses", however if you haven't been diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension, your insurance company won't cover it. If I remember correctly, the generic was around a $1.00/ pill.

I actually learned about it somewhere here on the FIRE boards. Sounds like it doesn't matter anymore if you can get the real deal for a buck. Hey that sounds like an effective advertising slogan: " A Buck a ....(nevermind)...

One not-uncommon side effect can be headaches.

sometimes I've become congested in my sinuses. I should say "more" congested because I always have some degree of congestion.
My eyes may become a bit bloodshot as well.

a few years ago my doc gave me a sample of Cialis. He said a common side effect is "feeling like someone whacked you in the back of the legs with a 2x4"...

whah?? I didn't experience that but it was not as efficacious for me as V.

My other concern may be totally unfounded, but since they advertise Cialis as being effective for a number of days, I was worried that any side effect may also linger for a couple of days. Any time I did have congestion with V, it went away in a couple of hours.

Yes, blood vessels in eyes get redder. I bought some several years ago and GF said...No Ma’as... I tried to sneak another dose in a few weeks later and she busted me because she could see my eyes were bloodshot. She wasnt happy and I havent tried it since...But they are still hiding in the medicine cabinet gathering dust patiently waiting for another opportunity.

Dull headaches from V, nothing but the desired effect from C. They are selling a generic C now as tadalafil

She enjoys the good life and prefers not to live in hard times for any extended period of time.

Vision color changes, flushing, indigestion. Tadalafil is worse because it hangs around a long time. Delayed back ache and indigestion is worse with Tadalafil.
