social security disability question

Hello,
My DW is presently on ss disability. She is 58 yo, I am 60.5 yo.
She receives a ss disability check which then converts to a ss retirement benefit when she reaches 62 yo (as I understand it).

I was planning to take my ss at 70 yo to maximize my benefit amount and her survivor benefit.

Can we use the file/suspend techniques to mazimize our total ss benefits or are those options unavailable if one person is on disability and her retirement benefit already predetermined?

If her normal ss benefits at 62,66, and 70 are higher than her present ss disability check how should I proceed to get the max benefit?

Thanks for your inputs.

My understanding is your DW's benefits will be 'converted' at her FRA. My DW is in the same situation, just a couple of years younger. I'm just repeating what SSA has told us.

I'm interested in what other folks can come up with for options, as I'm in your boat.
Best wishes,
MRG
