Speaking of Part D
My 92 year old mother has been using the Humana PDP Standard Plan since Part D was made available. For her drugs, it was always the least expensive plan in her county. But the price escalated year after year. As her advisor, I almost let it slide this year until I noticed a blub in one of my financial mags about Humana raising its prices 369% over the course of the years. Sure enough, when I compared plans today on Medicare.Gov for my mom's drugs and area, Humana fell off the affordable list for 2010. They don't make things easy for seniors, (or senior advisors!)
