The following video is intended to be an educational tool that features

tai chi; A practice in traditional Chinese medicine that uses a series of slow, gentle movements coordinated with breathing and meditation. The goal is to enhance physical functioning, improve balance and concentration, and reduce stress.

and qi gong; A component of traditional Chinese medicine that combines movement, meditation, and controlled breathing. The intent is to improve blood flow and the flow of qi.

as an activity to enhance wellness. These exercise therapies are generally considered safe, self-care approaches used to promote a healthy lifestyle. As always, talk to your health care provider if you are using or considering using any CAM modalities so that they can help safely coordinate your care.

Tai Chi is awesome, took it as a class in college and wish I could find a group close to home, I'd love to get back into it. It has a very calming effect, really takes your mind off of the day's worries.

Some years ago I learned the Chinese National Short Form. I do it nearly every day, and always the last thing after JuJutsu practice, just before hitting the sauna.

A peaceful ending to martial practice, although T'ai Chi is a martial art in super-slo-mo. But, still is a fight, a series of blocks, strikes and kicks, which I perform in the mental image while going through the form.

Unfortunately most so called instructors have no clue as to where the fight is within the form.
