Veterans Aid & Attendence Benefits

Just found this and thought I would post, seems to be a little known
benefit.
If you have less than 80K in assets not counting your house or car
and a pretty low income you can qualify for long term care monies.
Need to have served 90 days in a time of war including Nam, but
do not need to have been in a combat zone.
This may help someone, keep it in the back of your head.
I knew my DD-214 was good for something.

Yep, this benefit isn't widely known. We had a discussion about it earlier this year: http://www.early-retirement.org/foru...use-42772.html

Seems I replied to that thread back then, must be getting old.
Oh well doesn't hurt to remind people, it is a good benefit if you qualify.

Missed the original discussion. I'll pass the info on to a couple of fellows who definitely need this benefit.

Hope never to need it.
