A billion dollars from $100 in 10 years.

Reading this almost makes me want to open up my E-Trade account again and start the online stock trading. Wait, the last time I did that I lost $5,000 in a few months.

Hmmmm, to make sure it really works out you might want to plunk down $200 or even $300...

Trouble is ....

you'd now own 10% of ATI. With that much stake, could you remain a mere passive investor?

Or buy lottery tickets.

I don't know what the lottery odds are, but your chance of picking the highest stock performer of the year, ten years straight?

Assume 5,000 stocks to choose, 1/5000 to the tenth power is about a chance of 1 in 1 with 37 zeroes after it.

Opened a forex account in early august they give you $50,000 of practice money. I made a a few trades was up $250 after two days the rep, salesman #ssclown called me about the new improved software package. I told him I was going camping wouldn't have access to a computer. Came back 10 days later the $50,000 was gone and I owed them $2,500.
I haven't heard from the rep again. Sure am glad it was a practice account and have marked this on the dayplanner as something to work on again ten years from now.
